GPSSF section’s Annual Solo & Small Firm Conference and Interview Program will be held at the Rosen Plaza Hotel in Orlando on March 20-21, 2009. Join us for a full-day of informative CLE’s on Friday, March 20th continuing into the morning on Saturday, March 21st. This convention will provide several opportunities for you to network with other solo, small firm, and general practice lawyers in Florida.
Registration information will be available in November.
The Rosen Plaza Hotel is adjacent to the Orlando/Orange County Conference Center at 9700 International Drive, Orlando, FL 32819 ( phone 1-800-627-8258). Information about the hotel registration and the convention rate will be released in November.
The Second Annual Small Firm Interview Program will enable employers to interview law students and recent graduates from all of Florida’s law schools. The event will take place in Orlando following the GPSSF Solo and Small Firm Conference on March 21, 2009 at no cost to participants.
After reviewing resumes from interested applicants, employers will select candidates to interview. Applicants will be seeking:
● entry-level positions
● part-time research or drafting positions
● summer 2009 clerkships or
● project-based legal work

Student’s will be able to participate in the CLE’s and networking
event at a reduced cost. This convention will allow you the
opportunity to learn about the realities of smaller firm practice. It will also provide a variety of opportunities for you to meet smaller firm practitioners from all over the state.
Participation in the Small Firm Interview Program (SFIP) on March 21,
2009 is free and open to law students and recent graduates (May 2008 or
later) from all of Florida’s law schools. You do not have to register for the conference in order to participate in SFIP.
Watch for SFIP Student Registration information to be released this
winter.
