Conference & Interview Program

SAVE THE DATE: Make plans to attend the GPSSF section’s Annual Solo & Small Firm Conference and Interview Program in Orlando at the Rosen Plaza Hotel on March 26-27, 2010. Join us for a full-day of informative CLE’s on Friday, March 26th, followed by a networking reception. The Conference continues Saturday morning covering additional CLE topics with a concurrent panel for law students, before the Small Firm Interview Program (SFIP) begins. SFIP will enable employers to interview law students and recent graduates from all of Florida’s law schools, in Orlando on March 27,2010 at no cost.

The Solo & Small Firm Conference is an excellent opportunity for exhibitors and sponsors to meet and network with solo, small firm, and general practice lawyers.

Conference Participants

GPSSF section’s Annual Solo & Small Firm Conference and Interview Program will be held at the Rosen Plaza Hotel in Orlando on March 26-27, 2010. Join us for a full-day of informative CLE’s on Friday, March 26th, continuing into the morning on Saturday, March 27th . This convention will provide several opportunities for you to network with other solo, small firm, and general practice lawyers in Florida.

The Rosen Plaza Hotel is adjacent to the Orlando/Orange County Convention Center at 9700 International Drive, Orlando, FL 32819. A block of rooms has been reserved at the Rosen Plaza Hotel, at the rate of $139 single/double occupancy. To make reservations, call the Rosen Plaza Hotel directly at (407) 996-9700. Reservations must be made by 3/5/10 to assure the group rate and availability. After that date, the group rate will be granted on a "space available" basis.

Interview Program Employers

The Third Annual Small Firm Interview Program will enable employers to interview law students and recent graduates from all of Florida’s law schools. The event will take place in Orlando following the GPSSF Solo and Small Firm Conference on March 27, 2010 at no cost to participants.

After reviewing resumes from interested applicants, employerswill select candidates to interview. Applicants will be seeking:

● entry-level positions
● part-time research or drafting positions
● summer 2010 clerkships or
● project-based legal work

Law Student Information

Make plans to attend the Solo and Small Firm Conference & Interview Program in Orlando at the Rosen Plaza Hotel on March 26-27, 2010.

Student's will be able to participate in the CLE’s, attend a special concurrent panel just for law students and a networking event, enjoy two lunches and two continental breakfasts for a reduced cost of $50.00. This conference will allow you the opportunity to learn about the realities of smaller firm practice. It will also provide a variety of opportunities for you to meet smaller firm practitioners from all over the state.

Participation in the Small Firm Interview Program (SFIP) on March 27, 2010 is free and open to law students and recent graduates (December 2009) from all of Florida’s law schools. You do not have to register for the conference in order to participate in SFIP.
